Kids are the future. And we want to do everything in our power to make that future a kind and compassionate place. After watching a video on Facebook of a six-year-old boy named Dane, who used his artistic skills to “do good” for others in his community, our founder, Misty Castañeda, started imagining how different the world might look if we, as parents, consciously raised kids to be more like him. After recognizing a noticeable gap in the marketplace for resources that teach social good in younger children, she decided to tackle the problem head on, creating the interactive learning program we now know as For Purpose Kids.
We envision a future where children learn love and acceptance over hatred and fear, and it carries into their adulthood as they become global citizens. Where we not only embrace our differences, we celebrate them. Where we live in gratitude and focus on sharing with those who have less. Our Toolkits inspire children aged 5 to 10 to learn about being kind and doing good for people, communities, animals & the environment through activities, books and events. Built upon a subscription model for ongoing, interactive learning, the Toolkits engage young kids in meaningful conversations using multicultural characters and stories. There’s no better way to foster kindness and compassion in the world than through education and storytelling focused on compassion, rather than noticeable differences.

Leading By Example
If you're reading this, you're a Champion. No really, you are. You're inspiring kids to learn about being kind and living with purpose. And perhaps the most important thing for Champions is to lead by example. When you exhibit kindness and compassion every day in your life, your kids will incorporate these qualities into their actions.
When possible, we source our products from responsible and socially conscious companies and print on recycled paper. Our most recent partner is Yoobi, a company that believes every child should have access to basic school supplies to help them learn and be creative. Yoobi produces our Journal of Purpose & Action, and has donated to over 3 million classrooms.
We also partner with companies that offer amazing products for kids while making the world a better place. Our goal is to make it faster and easier for socially conscious people like you to shop, knowing you're not only getting cool things for your kiddos, but that you’re taking active steps to make the world better. We learn by doing, after all.
For every Toolkit purchased, 5 meals will be donated to kids at the Sunaayy Foundation, an organization in New Delhi India, that provides basic education, nourishment and support for underprivileged children ages 3-12 in makeshift, outdoor classrooms.
